ABEM Director Hala H. Durrah, M.T.A., has been named to serve on the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine expert panel that will “examine what innovations can be made to the child and adolescent health care system to improve the health and wellbeing of children, youth, and families.”
As a subject matter expert and policy analyst in patient partnership and engagement, Ms. Durrah serves as a consultant on patient-centered projects focused on quality improvement and safety, health equity, child health, health care transformation, medical education and certification, and patient experience. She was elected to the ABEM Board of Directors in 2020 as its first public member.
